What are Flex Zones?
Glad you asked! Flex Zones are the service areas where you can start and end your Mevo Flex trips. The Flex Zone boundaries are clearly illustrated in the app.
You can end your trip in any approved parking space within the Flex Zones in Auckland, and take cars from one Flex Zone to another.
You can't end your trip in a different city to where you started it.

Airport Parking
Auckland features a Flex Zone at Auckland Domestic Airport, allowing for one-way trips to and from the city.
Featuring premium parking and licence plate recognition at the barriers, it's the easiest way to get to your getaway.
A $30 surcharge is applied to any trips starting and/or ending at Auckland Domestic Airport.
Where can I park?
You can end your trip and return your vehicle at any of the thousands of permitted parking spaces across the Auckland Flex Zones, for free. Too easy.

You can end your trip in any Approved Mevo Carpark that's inside the Auckland Flex Zones (illustrated above).
The types and conditions of Approved Mevo Carparks in Auckland are listed below.

While you're on a trip, you can park your Mevo in any normally legal parking space - you're responsible for complying with time limits and restrictions.
Forbidden Parking Types
Whilst on your trip, you're responsible for ensuring that you park legally and in compliance with normal restrictions and time limits. There are also places where you can't end your trip:

At Any Time
You can't, at any time, park your vehicle in:
- Any parking space that would normally be forbidden, including:
- loading zones.
- taxi stands.
- bus stops.
- disabled parking spaces.
- reserved locations.
In addition to the above, you can't end your trip in:
- AT Time Restricted Parking of any duration - where "Authorised Vehicles Exempt" is not displayed.
- Any parking space that forms any part of a clearway, bus lane, or other time-dependent restriction (e.g. loading zone) - even if it would otherwise be a permitted park, and even if the restriction isn't currently operating.
- Private or commercial parking lots such as supermarkets or paid parking providers.
You'll be responsible for any tickets or tows if parked illegally while on-trip, or when ending trips in any non-designated or approved parking space.
